The story then opens with Alex – a highly trained and lethal former government operative trying to begin a new life outside the shadows of his late father – marrying CORISSA WILD – a legendary rock star with both a scandalous past and secret agenda beyond her fame.
Their wedding night brings a mysterious gift: a gilded antiquity treasure box containing five journal books encoded in various cryptographies. Reluctantly seeking the help of his former intelligence partner – MAXIMUS HART – to crack the first journal’s ciphertext, Alex and Cori undertake a covert pursuit to the island of Malta to retrieve a ciphertext key in order to translate the first volume and its contents.
As soon as they enter the hunt for the key, old allies and enemies surface for both of them – first an old lover of Cori’s, Interpol fugitive and criminal mastermind XANDER KANE – who knows her true identity – and then by ANGELICA UNO – a betrayed intelligence operative and former paramour of both Maximus and Alex who assassinates Hart’s source in the process of delivering the ciphertext key to Page.
Add in the specter of a sinister global mercenary known as LEGION, the overarching influence of the late SINCLAIR PAGE, and even the narco-terrorist allure of EMILIANO CARDOZO, and the story Alex must now navigate - in order to stay alive and keep safe the future of those around him - will have readers definitely in a race to TURN THE PAGE!
